This is random, but I first met your ceramic work through Arts Warehouse. Substack just put this latest post at the top of my inbox... anyway, all this to say - I’m a local (Boynton Beach) mom, lighting designer, and homeschooler. I should say homeachooler-ish this year because we’re trying a part time co-op for the first time. Also started homeschooling because the school we were at a couple years ago (after moving down here from NYC) turned out to be a bad fit for our oldest. So, yea, reaching out in case you are looking for any local homeschool friends. I found having some support from other moms was really helpful in figuring it all out... I also love ceramics, and have taken a few beginners courses... :). Oh and no pressure to respond!

Hi Alex, I’m so happy to be in touch! The question of education in this state is a very tricky one to answer. I grew up down here, and it was compromised in the 80s. Ultimately, our kids needed to be in school, so after our temporary homeschooling endeavor this spring, they are back in the classroom. But I will say—no option is perfect. You know this. We used to homeschool when we lived in NJ—they were younger then, and it was a great fit, but then they started to need more. Anyway, moral support here, as well! I get it. If you can your kiddos ever want to come in for a workshop, reach out! That would be so fun!
